Identify the machine precisely

“A piece of equipment” is not enough information to choose a transport plan. Give the manufacturer and model, and provide the machine’s documented specifications if available. Explain whether an attachment, bucket or other fitted item is included in the move.

Use the manufacturer’s information for the actual configuration rather than a similar-looking machine. If you do not have reliable dimensions or weight, say so. The next step is to establish those facts, not to guess a number that might lead to unsuitable equipment.

Describe condition and loading access

Tell the provider whether the machine operates, moves and steers, and whether there is known damage. A disabled machine can require different planning from an operating one. Do not start, reposition or alter unfamiliar equipment simply to answer a booking question.
